Springtime Baby

Broach and Doerrfeld wrap up their series of seasonal board books that feature a strawberry blonde baby making the most of her day, no matter the time of year. As the girl dons her rain boots and heads outdoors with her puppy, a series of flaps reveals animals (and sound effects) on each page: “Rainbow baby/ Look! The sun!/ Meadow baby/ Ducklings run/ Quack! Quack!” Broach’s tight-as-a-drum verse and Doerrfeld’s cheerful artwork easily match the enthusiasm of their young backyard explorer. Up to age 3.
