Jane Cooper is a New Yorker committed to leisure: even though she has a job in client relations at a financial firm, she makes a point of spending her weekday mornings hanging out and doing embroidery while pretending to be in client meetings. When Rebecka, Jane's rich best friend, offers to take her to an expensive South Beach resort to help mend Rebecka's broken heart, Jane doesn't hesitate.
