An A to Z of the Novels and Short Stories of Agatha Christie

This compendium lists Agatha Christie's 66 detective novels and 144 short stories. Each page contains a plot outline (although some take up only seven lines) that ends before the solution; these are listed in an appendix for the bolder reader. Morselt, who is director of the Computer Center of the University of Eindhoven in Holland and an ardent Christie fan, offers this work ""to solve all those arguments.'' Nevertheless it is difficult to discern either readership or usage. Plot descriptions are spare and dry, and lack appreciationof the complexity of the novels' constructions. One cannot help but feel that Dame Agatha would have been horrified at this version of computerized Christie. February
