We Preach Christ Crucified

Leech, a well-known Anglican priest and author, has chosen to focus his Lenten study on the importance and meaning of the cross in today's world. In doing so, he asks and attempts to answer some of the most difficult questions about both Christianity and crucifixion. For instance, do Christians merely help people endure pain, or is there a message in their faith about ending pain? Do political positions on contemporary issues really emerge from contemplating the cross and its sacrificial context? Because of the subject matter, style, depth and near overload of information and ideas, this volume will be difficult reading for many but well worth the effort for others just because of the theological jewels imparted.
