The Work of Christ: What the Events of Jesus’ Life Mean for You

R.C. Sproul, read by David Cochran Heath. Christianaudio, unabridged, three CDs, 3 hrs., $15.98 ISBN 978-1-61045-387-5
Through recounting the life and times of Jesus Christ, Sproul attempts to reconcile the divine and human aspects of the Son of God, examining everything from his birth to his death and resurrection. The author focuses on key events in Christ’s life and attempts to draw greater theological conclusions. Unfortunately, narrator David Cochran Heath turns in a flat, almost robotic performance that fails to do justice to this theological study dedicated to resurrection and redemption. Listeners will be disappointed with Heath’s narration, which is unable to capture the importance and spirit of Christ’s work and life, and results in a lackluster listen. A David C. Cook hardcover.
