Breaking Her Record

by Daisy Maryles -- Publishers Weekly, 7/16/2001

The record that Nora Roberts has to break each year is one that she herself has set for the last four years, i.e., getting more books on the bestseller charts that any other author. In 1998, 1999 and 2000, she had eight mass markets on the charts. So far in 2001—and we're only a bit more than halfway through—she has eight mass market bestsellers (our tabulations do not include books written under her J.D. Robb pseudonym or any of her hardcover bestsellers). From Jove we have Dance upon the Air, the first title in her Three Sisters trilogy, with more than 2.25 million copies in print. Silhouettte's Reflections and Dreams has 1.7 million copies in print.
