Now in 'Season'

by Daisy Maryles -- Publishers Weekly, 7/30/2001

Today's third fiction newcomer to our chart is by another bestseller-lists veteran—Linda Howard's latest romantic suspense novel, Open Season, published by Pocket Books, has 192,000 copies in print after two printings. Three of the popular author's previous works (Now You See Her, All the Queen's Men and Mr. Perfect) spent a combined total of 10 weeks on PW's fiction lists in the past three years. The popular author will embark next Monday on an eight-city tour. Second serial rights have been sold to Cosmopolitan, which will excerpt Open Season in its September issue; the novel has also been chosen as the magazine's September Book Club selection.

With reporting by Dick Donahue.
