Al Roker is the chubby and genial NBC-TV weatherman who has already had a bestseller with his Don't Make Me Stop This Car! Adventures in Fatherhood, published last Father's Day. For the next such occasion, he has gone back to his old editor and publisher—Trish Todd, S&S trade paperback editor-in-chief, and Scribner—for another outing, this time on another passion of his, backyard cooking. He will do The Big Bad Book of Barbeque, featuring his own cartoons, about 100 recipes, pictures, and plenty of grilling tips and wisdom. Todd bought world rights from the star's lawyer/agent, Alfred Geller.
