Voice of America Audiobook Segment

By Trudi M. Rosenblum -- Publishers Weekly, 9/3/2001

Audiobooks were the topic of a recent Voice of America program called American Issues, which airs in China. "We try to introduce what's going on in the U.S. in terms of politics, economy or culture," explains the host, Xiaohua. "China right now does not have audiobooks, so we thought it would be interesting to introduce this concept to the audience." APA president Eileen Hutton was interviewed and answered call-in questions from the audience.
