Weisbach has Word on Presidential Moms

-- Publishers Weekly, 2/17/1997

He may be known for signing up celebs like Jerry Seinfeld, Paul Reiser and Whoopi Goldberg, but Rob Weisbach is also making some interesting non-celebrity acquisitions for his new Rob Weisbach Books imprint at Morrow. A recent deal is his six-figure preemptive bid for Bonnie Angelo's Bending the Twig: The Power of Presidential Mothers. This is the first book from Angelo, a veteran Time reporter who was the first woman to head up a foreign bureau for the magazine and who today covers the White House. "She has incredible access, and this is a book she really wanted to do," Weisbach said. A fall 1998 publication is planned. Angelo was repped by agents Todd Shuster and Cherie Burns.
