Avon Vents its Rage

...and takes pride in the fact that Rage of a Demon King is the first title in its comparatively new hardcover line (Marketing, Sept. 30, 1996) to appear on the national charts. Rage, which debuts on PW's fiction list at #14, is the third title in Raymond E. Feist's Serpentwar Saga (the final volume, Shards of a Broken Crown, will be published next year). Feist has just concluded a five-city tour; publicity has also included print ads (in SF publications and in Computer Gaming World magazine) and radio advertising in select markets. In addition, visitors to Avon's Web site will find an excerpt from the book's first chapter, plus a giveaway for Feist's forthcoming CD-ROM game, Return to Krondor. First printing for the novel -- an April Featured Alternate of the Science Fiction Book Club -- was 60,000.
