Still More Outrage

by Daisy Maryles, with Dick Donahue -- Publishers Weekly, 4/7/1997

Though not of Irish descent, author Vincent Bugliosi had a bloody good reason to celebrate last month's St. Patrick's day: it was the pub date for Dell/Island's mass market edition of his Outrage: The Five Reasons Why O.J. Simpson Got Away with Murder. Norton's hardcover version spent 12 weeks on PW's nonfiction list; Dell's reprint, with a first printing of 450,000, lands this week at #10. Bugliosi began a four-city tour on March 19, and will continue to do national and local interviews out of L.A. throughout April. The author has been interviewed by a veritable host of hosts: his myriad appearances have included "The Late Late Show with Tom Snyder," "Rivera Live," "Dennis Miller Live," "The Charles Grodin Show" and "The G. Gordon Liddy Show." Still to come are stints in cyberspace (AOL's Barnes &Noble Online) and over the airwaves (American Crime Line on the Talk Radio Network). Bugliosi will be in New York City on May 1 to participate in a Random House literary breakfast, the topic for which will be "Law and Literature." (He'll also no doubt be attending the Edgar Awards ceremony on that evening, since Outrage has been nominated for Best Fact Crime Book.)
