Covey now at S&S and Golden

Simon &Schuster recently confirmed a five-book/audio deal with Stephen Covey ("Book News," April 7), but now there's word the guru will also provide the lead book/audio for Robert Asahina's Golden Books Adult Publishing Group list this fall. Asahina had been Covey's editor at S&S and in fact signed up some of the books in the house's five-book deal. In this new deal negotiated by agent Jan Miller, Golden will publish The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Families in October 1997 with a 500,000 first printing and has the first-look option on the next book.
