Dog Book May Get Big Bone

by Judy Quinn -- Publishers Weekly, 6/26/1997

Agent Lori Liss, last in the news for repping the memoir of 98-year old Jessie Lee Brown Foveaux, is back with another tale from heartland: Another Autumn: The Rufus Chronicle, Kansas City Star columnist Charles Gusewelle's reminiscences about a now-deceased canine companion. The book, originally published by the Kansas City Star Company in September 1996, went on to sell about 10,000 copies. Liss will hold an auction for the book today, and insiders hint that Warner, which bought Fouveaux's book for close to $1 million and is rushing it to print this fall, may again be the top bidder.
