Paul Schindler, editor of the technology Web site CMPnet's NetInsider (www.netinsider.com), is looking for a few good authors. NetInsider features RealAudio (and transcript) interviews with movers and shakers in the digital industry and, most importantly, with authors. "Books are provocative. The writer still makes a difference," said Schindler. The site features two five-minute interview/profiles each week on Internet or cyberspace-oriented titles. Steven Johnson (Interface Culture), founder of the pioneering Web magazine Feed, has been featured, as have Esther Dyson (Release2.0) and Aliza Sherman (Cybergrrl!), and new-media publisher Michael Wolff is scheduled to appear. Schindler said NetInsider is aimed at the "moderately technically inclined"; attracts several hundred thousand visitors each month; and has a bookselling partnership with B&N.com. And, yes, the site accepts advertising.
