Distributed Art Publishers has established a $3000 annual award for museum book buyers in the memory of the late museum store buyer Robert Scott Brooks, "an extraordinary book buyer," who died of AIDS-related illnesses in 1995.

Buyers from U.S. and Canadian museum stores that sell art and art-related books are eligible. The award can be used for inventory or for any bookstore activity and is not limited to D.A.P. books.
