Manus Joins 'N.Y. Observer' Pub Beat

Elizabeth Manus, fomerly editor of the Boston Ph nix Literary Supplement, has joined the New York Observer as a book publishing reporter.

Celia McGee, the Observer's book publishing columnist, told PW that the weekly newspaper was looking at ways to expand its publishing coverage and felt the need for another reporter. "There's so much interest in book publishing right now. We're looking at new ways to cover the industry," McGee said. McGee will continue to write the publishing column and both writers will contribute features and trend pieces.
