Philip Rowley, who was recruited by Golden Books to be its chief financial officer in July 1996, has resigned from the company and will return to England for personal reasons. Effective May 1, Golden's new CFO will be John Ferrara, who will also serve as an executive vice-president of Golden. Ferrara most recently served as v-p and CFO of Renaissance Communications Corp., a company that owned and operated television stations until its recent sale.
