Yet another Chicken Soup title hits the charts. A 5th Portion of Chicken Soup for the Soul by Jack Canfield &Mark Victor Hansen was planned to debut with a 500,000-copy first printing. But by its April 15 pub date, Health Communications needed 800,000 copies to meet demand. Currently there are one million copies in the pipeline. Busily taking advantage of the Chicken Soup demand, the publisher has also just released Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, Marty Becker and Carol Kline. There are 800,000 copies in print, plus an additional 500,000 copies printed for the IAMs pet food company.
