Esteemed journalist Cokie Roberts seems to have hit the right spot with We Are Our Mothers' Daughters from Morrow, which went back to press three times before it hit the stores on April 20. The first printing of 50,000 copies is now up to 122,000, after five printings. Roberts's 17-city media and booksigning tour began April 20 in New Orleans (she signed about 700 books at two stores) and will finish on June 18 with an evening at Washington, D.C.'s Politics &Prose. Her book, a collection of short, informal essays, talks about her own life, and balancing a career while raising two children.
