Carlin Drops in on the Charts

Comedian George Carlin hits the national charts with the trade paperback edition of Brain Droppings. Publisher Hyperion launched the book last month with a 125,000-copy first printing and has gone back to press for 20,000 books. Carlin's book tour took him to Cleveland, Detroit and New York and included appearances on Imus, Good Morning America, CNN and Letterman. He's heading out to L.A., where media events include an appearance on Tom Snyder.
