Von Holtzbrinck to Adopt BookEasy

Von Holtzbrinck Publishing Services, which includes St. Martin's, Henry Holt and Farrar, Straus &Giroux, will implement the BookEasy service in the U.S. when it's ready for launch this fall. A division of Vista Computer Services, BookEasy is an Internet-based, inquiring/ordering service that provides booksellers with 24-hour, seven-day access to participating publishers' back-office systems for real-time title, price and availability information, as well as order status inquiries and ordering capabilities. The service, which was launched in the U.K. last October, is free to booksellers.
