PW: Howell New 'PW' Bookselling Editor

For the past six years he worked in the marketing department of Little Professor Book Centers Inc. in Ann Arbor, Mich., where he wrote a weekly newsletter for independent bookstore owners belonging to the franchise and also worked as a publisher liaison, using co-op money to create consumer catalogues. Earlier, he had worked for B. Dalton Booksellers and Little Professor, both in Ann Arbor.

As Bookselling editor, Howell will be responsible for the day-to-day management of PW's Bookselling department (including the monthly Audio and Sidelines columns), working closely with John Mutter, executive editor, Bookselling, contributors and freelancers.
