Marly Rusoff is moving to William Morrow as v-p, associate publisher and executive director of marketing, reporting to new publisher Michael Murphy.Rusoff, who had been v-p and associate publisher at Doubleday, will oversee marketing strategies for all Morrow's adult imprints.
Rusoff began her career as a bookseller in Minneapolis, where she established the Loft as a literary center for local writers. Later she became a sales rep at Simon &Schuster, then worked in publicity and marketing at Houghton Mifflin before moving to Doubleday in 1990. While there she was closely identified with successful campaigns for some of the house's bestselling authors, including Pat Conroy, Margaret Atwood, Thomas Cahill and Bill Moyers.
