Tony Hillerman is the only author who has a new book on the hardcover charts this week, with the newest entry in his Jim Chee mysteries, The First Eagle. HarperCollins launched the book with a 250,000 first printing and has already gone back to press for a 10,000 second printing, quickly followed by a 15,000 third printing. Hillerman is making a few appearances and will be at Olsson's in Washington, D.C., September 15. The Three Rivers Lecture series in Pittsburgh has already sold 1700 tickets for his November 2 appearance.
