Gentel Resigns from Candlewick

Gary Gentel, who joined the children's publisher Candlewick Press as president in November 1996, resigned from the company at the end of January. Until a successor is named, David Heatherwick, the managing director of Candlewick's parent company, Walker Books UK, will serve as acting president and will be spending time in Candlewick's U.S. office.
