New Harper Cookbook Line

Mark Rotella -- Publishers Weekly, 4/12/1999

HarperCollins is launching a new imprint of cookbooks in trade paperback format, to be called HarperTaste.

With four to six titles a year, HarperTaste will feature many of HC's major cookbooks in a lower-priced format (each retailing for less than $20). HC cookbook editor Susan Friedland told PW the new line will help "established books... reach a wider audience."

The first three titles, to be released in May, are Red, White &Greens: The Italian Way with Greens by Faith Willinger; Passion for my Provence: Home Cooking from the South of France (originally published as Chez Nous) by Lydie Marshall; and Ayla Algar's Classical Turkish Cooking: Traditional Turkish Food for the American Kitchen.
