Dolin to Edit Overlook Series

Looking to expand its drama backlist, Overlook Press has named Arnold Dolin, formerly senior v-p and associate publisher at Dutton Plume, editor of its drama publishing series. The series will debut with the publication next month of John Logan's award-winning play, Never the Sinner.

Dolin, who previously worked under Overlook publisher Peter Mayer when Mayer directed Penguin, said he expects to build a backlist of critically acclaimed playwrights, much as he did at Plume, where his authors included Edward Albee and August Wilson. "My plan is to select the best three or four plays that we can publish each year," he said. Dolin said he will also continue to work as freelance consulting editor.
