PW: 'NYT' Opens Online Store

The New York Times has launched an online store featuring a selection of book titles published under its brand name and other NYT-branded products.

Thomas K. Carley, president of the News Services division of the NYT, said the new online store (www.nytimes.com/nytstore) would offer "one-stop shopping" for an "array of New York Times products...and high-quality content." Carley noted that the site will increase the number of titles offered as new NYT books are released. Fulfillment and shipping are handled by Resolution Inc. (www.resolut.com), a firm based in South Burlington, Vt., that specializes in a wide variety of inventory management functions.

The site currently features about 18 titles, including NYT-produced titles as well as books published for the NYT by McGraw-Hill and Lyons Press. Among the titles are The New York Times Century of Business, The New York Times Guide to Hotels in New York City and the Science Times publishing series.
