Clarks for Christmas Again

by John F. Baker -- Publishers Weekly, 10/1/2001

Another sign of a return to something like normal in publishing is word that Mary Higgins Clark and daughter Carol are combining again for another just-in-time-for-Christmas tale. This time it's called He Sees You When You're Sleeping, and it will be out from S&S/Scribner shortly after Carol's own new book Fleeced, due from Scribner at the end of next month. The first collaboration by the pair, Deck the Halls, was a big seller last Christmas. The deal was put together by Gene Winick and Sam Pincus at McIntosh & Otis for Mary, and Nick Ellison for Carol, dealing with Michael Korda at S&S and Ros Lippel at Scribner. The story is about a dead man who comes back to earth from the netherworld to do some good at last and earn entrance into heaven.
