Jordan Keeps Rolling Along

Robert Jordan's ninth book in The Wheel of Time series, Winter's Heart, lands on the mass market list (as did all the previous books) with 650,000 copies after two printings. The Tor/Tom Doherty series has more than 10 million copies in print in North America, and is published in 21 languages. The 10th book in the series is scheduled to be published in November 2002. The Wheel of Time has strong merchandise tie-ins: Toy Vault Inc. plans to produce plush figures and figurines; Wizards of the Coast has released The Wheel of Time role-playing game and has a follow-up game due in March; Legend Entertainment/GTI Interactive has The Wheel of Time computer game; Magna Carta Records has The Wheel of Time soundtrack; and Atlanta Cutlery offers weapons and jewelry based on the series.
