Audio's Grammy Gold

The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences awarded Grammys on February 27 to notable audiobook recordings released between October 1, 2000 and September 30, 2001. The audiobook awards were presented prior to the star studded TV broadcast of the 44th annual Grammy Awards ceremony.

Best Spoken Word Album: Q: The Autobiography of Quincy Jones by Quincy Jones (Simon & Schuster Audio)

Best Spoken Comedy Album: Napalm & Sillyputty by George Carlin (HighBridge Audio)

Best Musical Album for Children: Elmo and the Orchestra by the Sesame Street Characters (Sony Wonder)

Best Spoken Word Album for Children: Mama Don't Allow by Thacher Hurd, performed by Tom Chapin (Live Oak Media)
