Storey to Start Kids' Line

by Jason Britton -- Publishers Weekly, 3/18/2002

Storey Publishing will launch its first children's imprint, Storey Kids, this fall. The initial list will consist of three trade paperbacks—Cherry Hills' Horse Care for Kids, Raptor! and WoodsWalk—with plans for three more titles each season. According to Storey publisher Janet Harris, the focus of Storey Kids will be on nonfiction books for middle-grade readers; the children's imprint will draw from the publisher's adult list for content, adapting some of its nature and how-to books for younger readers. Storey, founded in 1983, is owned and distributed by Workman.
