Maneker to Head HC Business

HarperCollins has named Marion Maneker to the long-vacant position of editorial director of HarperBusiness. He will join HC May 20 and will report to Cathy Hemming, president and publisher of the general books group. Maneker, who worked briefly at HC in the late 1990s, most recently served as features editor at New York magazine. Executive editor David Conti will report to Maneker and Lisa Berkowitz, associate publishing director of HC Business, will report to Carrie Freimuth, senior v-p and associate publisher, general books group.
