Another Side of Tyson?

by John F. Baker -- Publishers Weekly, 6/3/2002

A book that aims neither to idealize controversial boxer Mike Tyson nor to further demonize him, but to "find the humanity in there somewhere," has been bought by executive editor David Hirshey at Harper. His world rights deal is with Mark Kram, a veteran boxing writer whose Ghosts of Manila, about the rivalry between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier, Hirshey had previously published. The purchase was from agent Chris Calhoun at Sterling Lord Literistic, and Hirshey hopes to publish in fall of 2003.
