Gardening for Inspiration

A book its agent describes as "The Artist's Way for gardeners" had five bidders in an auction that ended in a sale to Warner for well into six figures. It's Digging Deep: Unearthing Your Creative Roots Through Gardening, and author Fran Sorin has a call-in radio show in Philadelphia, writes for USA Weekend and is the gardening expert for iVillage. Agent Brian DeFiore, who made the world rights deal with editor Sandra Bark, put the author together with a new collaborator, fellow agent Debra Goldstein, who has penned several inspirational titles, to do the book; publication is set for spring 2004.
