Papa—that's Ernest Hemingway, of course—would likely be proud to see his works released on three forthcoming unabridged recordings from Simon & Schuster Audio. In what S&S hopes will be a strong selling point, The Short Stories: Volume One and The Short Stories: Volume Two are read by actor Stacy Keach, who has convincingly portrayed Hemingway to good reviews over the years. To whet listeners' appetites for these collections, S&S has just shipped to accounts 1,000 in-store displays that contain 25 CD samplers of "The Snows of Kilimanjaro" (from Volume One). The giveaways feature a $5 mail-in rebate redeemable from S&S when consumers purchase Volume One or Volume Two. The mail-in offer is valid for purchases until October 31, 2003.
