¡Bravo a Críticas!

by Daisy Maryles -- Publishers Weekly, 9/16/2002

PW's sister publication, Críticas, has launched the first national bestseller list for Spanish-language books available in the U.S. (see page 26). Only two of the 10 books on the inaugural list are translations of books that have already appeared on the national charts—The Four Agreements and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. The other bestsellers are popular Spanish-language fiction and nonfiction titles. The list will be featured monthly on Univision's popular Despierta América (Wake Up, America); look for it on the first Friday of each month during the 8 a.m. hour. According to editor Adriana Lopez, the list will run in the bimonthly Críticas and will also be printed each month in PW; it will also be available on www.criticasmagazine.com.
