Chicago-based Independent Publishers Group (IPG) announced that it has taken on seven publishers formerly with the now-defunct LPC, bringing its total number of former LPC clients to 11. The newly signed houses range from one-book publisher Terrace Publishing in Waco, Tex., which has sold more than 150,000 copies of its cookbook mixing food and sex, InterCourse, to British publisher Chroma Dreams, which does illustrated books on rockers as well as audio-biographies. Other ex-LPCers include Child Management Inc., Vehicule Press, XRX Books, CCH Inc. and Perspective Publishing. Other new IPG clients include Natavi Guides, MQ Publications, Park Publishing Inc. and Uversa Press.
