DELMAR LEARNING Twelve-year veteran Dawn Gerrain has been promoted to v-p of the Thomson Corporation's educational resource arm, assuming responsibility for the career education strategic business unit.

MARTINGALE & COMPANY Tom Wierzbicki was named director of sales and marketing for the publisher of knitting and crafts titles, following 12 years at Meredith Corporation, most recently as director of retail sales.

RANDOM HOUSE Tom Russell was promoted to publisher of Princeton Review Books from associate publisher. He was previously with Houghton Mifflin's college publishing division.

THE JOSEPH-BETH GROUP Jen Reynolds has been appointed director of publisher relations and events for the bookstores. She has been with the retailer for six years, most recently as small press buyer.... Dolly Kelly, who previously held that spot, will now concentrate on the Nashville store.

SIMON & SCHUSTER Melissa Possick was promoted to associate publisher of the S&S imprint, taking on responsibility for the new trade paperback line as well as hardcover titles.... Leigh Lloyd has been promoted to publishing associate.

HAZELDEN FOUNDATION Nick Motu has been named v-p of publishing and educational services. He has worked in magazine publishing and marketing management for ReliaStar and St. Paul Companies, and also as a newspaper reporter and editor.

THOMAS NELSON INC. Jonathan Merkh has been promoted to senior v-p and publisher of the trade division, Nelson Books. He was previously v-p and associate publisher and succeeds Michael S. Hyatt, executive v-p and group publisher, who now oversees Nelson Books, WND Books, Tommy Nelson, Rutledge Hill Press and Cool Springs Press.

JUST US BOOKS Katura Hudson has been appointed marketing manager and associate editor for the company founded by her parents and dedicated to producing black-interest books for children.

BORDERS Ted Beilman was appointed category director of cafe. Formerly v-p of business development at Kim & Scott's Gourmet Pretzels Inc. and v-p of cafe operations for Barnes & Noble, he will be responsible for management of all Borders cafes.

HAIGHTS CROSS COMMUNICATIONS Paul Konowitch was named v-p business development. Previously, he was managing director of Gabelli Group Capital Partners Inc. and was with the Thomson Corporation.

HENRY HOLT Vanessa Mobley, formerly of Basic Books, the Nation and the ACLU, has been appointed editor, adult trade.
