PW's Bookseller and Rep of the Year

by Staff -- Publishers Weekly, 3/17/2003

Bunch of Grapes Bookstore in Vineyard Haven, Mass., on Martha's Vineyard, has won Publishers Weekly's 2002 Bookseller of the Year Award. Founded by Ann Nelson in 1975, the general bookstore is open year round, serving both locals, including writers of note, and many summer visitors, who include members of the book industry and, most notably, in recent years, former President Bill Clinton.

Wes Caliger of Heinecken & Associates has won PW's 2002 Rep of the Year Award. Heinecken is a major commission-sales rep group in the Midwest.

Feature stories about Bunch of Grapes and Caliger will appear in the May 5 pre-BEA issue of PW. The winners will be honored at BookExpo America in Los Angeles.
