R&L in Niche Buy

The Rowman & Littlefield Publishing Group continues to add to its publishing roster through niche acquisitions. Its most recent purchase was of NCUP Inc., a college publisher that had been based in Albany, N.Y. The purchase involved 150 primary documents in the humanities and social sciences, which will be revised and published as new Rowman & Littlefield Publishers editions. NCUP founder Lee Kmieciak has retired from the business, and the Albany office is closed.
