New Additions

by Judith Rosen -- Publishers Weekly, 3/17/2003

Six-year-old Stylus Publishing in Sterling, Va., an independent publisher of books on management training and higher education, has added three client lines for the spring. According to marketing associate Jen Lofquist, Stylus currently distributes 4,000 titles a year for 15 presses, including Pluto Books, publishers of the bestselling The Best Democracy Money Can Buy by Greg Palast and Unholy Wars: Afghanistan, America, and International Terrorism by John K. Cooley. Stylus will now represent Hotei Publishing—an imprint of KIT in Amsterdam, which specializes in books on Japanese art and culture— and two imprints of Kogan Page in London. Kogan Page Business is Europe's biggest independent business publisher, and newly formed Kogan Page Science brings together Hermes Penton Science, Hermes and Penton Press.
