Penguin Brings Flood on Board

Eloise Flood has been named senior vice-president and publisher of a new imprint, as yet unnamed, at Penguin Young Readers Group, effective April 28. She will report directly to the group's president, Doug Whiteman. Most recently, Flood was publisher of paperbacks at S&S Children's Publishing. She resigned after a reorganization (News, Apr. 14).
The imprint will be made up of mostly series fiction and media-based trend books in both hardcover and paperback. Flood expects to hire six people for her editorial and design staff.
PYR's existing series will continue to be published under their current imprints.
The new imprint will publish its first titles in early 2004.
