Sales, Earnings Jump at EDC

Educational Development Corp. reported strong gains in sales and earnings for the fiscal year ended February 28. Revenue rose 21.5%, to $24.9 million, and net income increased 33%, to $2 million.
The company said the sales gain was led by its home business division, which had a 31% revenue increase due in part to a 47% increase in the number of home sales reps. The publishing division posted a small sales increase for the year.
