HOUGHTON MIFFLIN Eamon Dolan has been promoted to v-p and editorial director, adult trade books, from executive editor, based in New York.... Carla Gray has been promoted to senior marketing manager and is based in Boston.... Dan O'Connell has been promoted to assistant director of publicity in Boston.... Whitney Peeling has been promoted to publicity manager in New York.... Rebecca Mancini has been made director of children's rights for the trade & reference division.... Rux Martin has been promoted to executive editor of cookbooks.

THE FREE PRESS Paul O'Halloran has been named director of subsidiary rights for Free Press and Scribner after representing them both to the international market for seven years. He was previously with the Putnam Berkley Group.

ARCADIA PUBLISHING Rob Kangas, freelance editor and writer, has been named editor of the Making of America series.... Ryan Boswell has been appointed a marketing assistant.... Amy Poe, a software consultant, has been appointed IT technician.

TRIDENT MEDIA GROUP Sara Crowe has been named foreign rights agent, handling U.K. and translation rights for Ellen Levine's clients. She was formerly in the London office of the Andrew Wylie Agency.

HASTINGS ENTERTAINMENT Alan Van Ongevalle has been appointed v-p of information systems and distribution after 11 years with the book, music and video chain.

AMERICHIP BOOKS Lisa Rojany Buccieri was named v-p and publisher of the children's packaging division. She has held posts at Golden Books, Price Stern Sloan and Intervisual Books.

CORCORAN & POWER LITERARY MANAGEMENT Douglas Corcoran and Thomas Power have formed a literary agency in New York City. Both are former acquisitions editors, Corcoran for Regan Books and Prentice Hall and Power for Prentice Hall/Simon & Schuster.

PUBLICATIONS SERVICES INC. Molly Redenbaugh has been named regional sales associate for the Illinois-based provider of prepress services.

SCHOLASTIC Kristin DeVivo was appointed director of research and evaluation for the education division following two years as research manager at LeapFrog SchoolHouse.

SOURCEBOOKS INC. Michael Bowen, former attorney editor at West Group, has been appointed Sphinx legal editor.... Kristen S. Lewis, marketing and public relations professional, has been named senior publicist.... Barbi Pecenco was named publicist.... Sharon Schmid has been hired as accounts payable/inventory control coordinator.

SIMON & SCHUSTER Bill Andrulevich, v-p, business manager of the sales and distribution division, has been given responsibility for distribution client business.... Mary Beth Thomas was named director of distribution client services and will report to Andrulevich.

BOYDS MILLS PRESS Wendy Murray, former editorial director at Scholastic Teaching Resources, has been named editor of the poetry imprint Wordsong.

17TH STREET PRODUCTIONS Joshua Banks has been promoted from director of development to v-p of book development.
