HCI Names Witter Editorial Director

Health Communications Inc. has named Bret Witter editorial director. Witter, who began at HCI last week, replaces Christine Belleris, who has moved into special projects and freelance work for the company. Witter had been an editor at Berkley Publishing and had served as associate editor at HarperCollins/Avon Books. In announcing the appointment, HCI pointed to Witter's successful track record in acquiring titles in the self-help, health, personal relationships, popular culture and business areas. He will report to Tom Sand, HCI v-p.
