GOLDBERG MCDUFFIE COMMUNICATIONS Angela Baggetta, formerly a senior publicist at Basic Books, has been appointed a publicity manager responsible for campaigns for fiction and nonfiction titles, as well as several books contracted under the business division.

HCI BOOKS Stephanie Frohman has been named special sales manager. The former rep for Wiley and Dover will be responsible for expanding sales into nontrade markets.

HOUGHTON MIFFLIN Jane Rosenman has been appointed executive editor, adult trade books, following tenures at St. Martin's and Scribner, where she was editorial director of Washington Square Press.

STERLING PUBLISHING CO. Jeremy Nurnberg has been promoted to director of trade sales and national accounts from national accounts manager.

CROWN PUBLISHING GROUP Linda Kaplan was appointed to the newly created position of director, subsidiary rights, for the Crown Group, from director of subsidiary rights for Random House Information. Karin Schulze, manager, foreign rights; Kelly Canavan, associate, domestic rights; Kara Howland, associate, domestic rights; and Emily Stephens, associate, foreign rights, will now report to her. Cynthia Cowan, manager, Random House Audio, will move her subsidiary rights responsibilities to the new group and concentrate on marketing for Random House audio.

TRIDENT MEDIA GROUP Paul Fedorko, former publisher at William Morrow, associate publisher at Dell/Delacorte and, most recently, head of his own literary agency, has joined the firm.

GALLOPADE INTERNATIONAL Amanda McCutcheon has been named publicity manager.... Jacilyn Leonard has been named bookstore sales and marketing manager.... James Roberts has been appointed sales and marketing manager.... Dina Bondi was named school and library sales and marketing manager of the Georgia-based children's publisher.

HAL LEONARD Brad Smith has been promoted from senior accounts manager for special projects to the new position of senior sales and marketing manager for the book trade and custom products division.

HENRY HOLT ADULT TRADE Elizabeth Shreve has been promoted to v-p, director of publicity, from executive director.... Sara Hutson has moved up from senior publicist to publicity manager.

LEARNING EXPRESS Debra D. Harper, former sales director of urban accounts at Scholastic and a teacher and educational administrator, was named to the newly created position of v-p, educational sales and marketing.
