Short Subjects

by Sue Berger Ramin -- Publishers Weekly, 7/21/2003

Also in development is Michael Crichton's sci-fi novel Westworld, made into a film in 1973 starring Yul Brynner, which has attracted Arnold Schwarzenegger to produce and play a part (not the cyborg). The new version is said to be close to the original, but bigger in scope and with a modern twist. Michael Ferris and John Brancato, hot off Terminator 3, are working on the screenplay for producer Jerry Weintraub at Warner... and yet another remake coming up is Elmore Leonard's 3.10 to Yuma (yes, he once wrote westerns).
