Another Slice of Pi

Right after Good Morning America chose Life of Pi as its latest book club selection, Harcourt pushed the reprint button for a 13th printing of 50,000 copies, bringing the total in print to 550,000. The publisher reports that about 482,000 copies have been sold. The club that will be reading the book and discussing it on a later show is the Masters Book Club of Wauconda, Ill.—so named because all the club members hold master's degrees from Northern Illinois University.
